Chained Echoes: How Many Chips
To put things very simply, players are not actually intended to obtain any of the chip rewards in Chained Echoes. Indeed, while it would technically take 120 chips to purchase all the rewards that are beyond the red-haired employee, none of them will ever reach a fan’s inventory. As such, fans of old-school JRPGs should feel free to enter the rewards area and speak with the employee at the booth as soon as they grow tired of the festivities’ mini-games.

With respect to those mini-games, they are Dapple Devour, Rock-Paper-Scissors, and Tumultuous Turtle Touchdown. Here are details on how to win at each of them, though again it is important to emphasize that the credits that Chained Echoes players earn from these mini-games will not provide any benefit:
Dapple Devour
Players can initiate Dapple Devour by speaking with the apple-headed employee to the right of the rewards area. This game costs 10 credits to play, and it simply requires fans of pixel art to repeatedly press a button in order to consume food. Every plate of food that is finished is worth one credit, and players that are very good at button mashing can quickly build a stockpile of credits through this mini-game.
Rock-Paper-Scissors
There is an employee wearing a green hand costume below the rewards area, and players can challenge him to a game of rock-paper-scissors. To beat this employee, players should simply throw rock, then scissors, and then paper, and they will receive around 50 credits for the win. Notably, fans can determine this sequence for themselves by speaking with some of the NPCs in the area, as they provide hints about the employee’s rock-paper-scissors strategy.
Tumultuous Turtle Touchdown
The final mini-game is a turtle race that is situated in the bottom-right corner of the area. To win credits, players must select the turtle that will cross the finish line first, and that is a very easy thing to do. Indeed, indie video game fans must simply interact with each of the turtles, and the one that says “TURTLE” is the creature that will win the next race.
Chained Echoes is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
